Welcome to our new sports blog replacing "Bearcat Chat".
Our former service provider discontinued support for the other blog thereby requiring us to relocate or give up on the idea entirely. Being inspired here at the beginning of our new football season I decided to give it one more try in hopes that we could generate some interests, maybe get some constructive comments and possibly pass along some useful information concerning our Bearcat athletics. Time will tell whether I will actually find the time to update this blog...but I hope to.....
Camp Tatum Sports plans to be on hand for "Jam at the Joe" and we hope to have some good pictures of our guys as they close out the preseason and fine tune for our first game. I hope to have those pictures posted by sometime Sunday evening...if not before.
Have you looked at our schedule? Most of the big games are in Ruston this year with our longest away game being next week. One of the best parts of an away game is the pregame meal and fine fellowship to be had at a restuarant with other traveling Bearcat fans. Where shall we eat before the game?
Every game is important...but the first one especially. The Bearcats begin their season September 3 in Shreveport against Byrd High School. Byrd has a quality 5-A program and one of the most enthusiastic student bodies of any school we will play this year. Let's encourage everyone to travel and support the Bearcats next week.
Remember, on Wednesday join us at Pizza Inn at noon for the beginning of our weekly luncheons with Head Coach Billy Laird and find out our game plan for a successful outcome on Friday. All are invited...
When our local high school teams are successful our whole community benefits. Get on board early and enjoy the ride...
