Anna Katherine Tollett is the daughter of Kristi and Roland Tollett, of Ruston, Louisiana. She is 10-years-old and a fifth-grade student at Cedar Creek School. Anna Katherine was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in 2008, at the age of 8 years. Her wonderful attitude and spirit inspired her family to help her make a 30-second video for the national diabetes outreach campaign “Stop Diabetes.”
Anna Katherine's video was selected as a Top Ten Finalist, the ONLY Finalist from the South!
Now the public gets to vote for the winner, with the winner receiving the opportunity to be part of an upcoming national Stop Diabetes public service announcement. Go to stopdiabetes.com, click on VOTE NOW, please select Anna Katherine Tollett’s video, enter your e-mail address, and click “submit.”
If you have time, take a look at all 10 video finalists because each video has a personal story to share. Voting ends on Monday, January 24th, and the winner will be announced on January 31th.
