High school baseball playoff action is here. This Wednesday @ 6:00 p.m. the District Champion Ruston High Bearcats will have their first round playoff game at Ruston High’s Bearcat Field. This first round game is against arch rival West Monroe. We have an outstanding team. Last year our boys made it to the state semi-finals. This year our talented 2012 team could go all the way. As it says on the wall of Ruston High’s Gym, “Nothing Great Was Ever Achieved Without Enthusiasm”. Your presence and support at Wednesday’s game could make all the difference. With a great Ruston crowd cheering enthusiastically, I believe our Bearcats will produce an outstanding winning effort. The atmosphere will be electric. It will be an exciting time for you and your whole family.
There is nothing that can lift the spirits of a community quicker than celebrating the success of our young people. I hope you will take time to support all of our local high school teams as they pursue their dreams during the post season. America loves a winner, and so does Ruston. Let’s give our local teams our enthusiastic support.
